Mercury Goes Direct ☿️☿️☿️
On Sunday, July 12, 2020, Mercury will be going direct! Yay! You will have made it through another Mercury Retrograde -- congrats!
It hasn't been so bad, has it?
To wrap up this intense week, you’ll be greeted with a gentle Sun-Neptune trine that also presents the perfect opportunity for any forgiveness that needs to take place after this Mercury retrograde.
If you have a few bridges to mend, this is the time to do it! You’ll be surprised at how refreshing and light you’ll feel after extending the olive branch.
With all of this light energy afoot, this is a great day for creatives to dive into their projects without any blockages.
Now that Mercury is nearly direct, thinking and communication will be much more clear, bringing new life to any stagnant projects.
This is also a great time to reflect on what you’ve experienced and said in the past few weeks. With Mercury retrograde just passing in Cancer, you are most likely speaking from your emotions.

Mercury Rx in Cancer Square Mars Aries
I have talked about Mercury Retrograde so many times before, but it’s always good to review this frustrating energy.
Over time (especially as astrology and spirituality have become more mainstream), Mercury Retrogrades seem to be feared, dreaded, and almost demonized.
This is so unfortunate because retrogrades are simply a time for people to revisit ideas, to reevaluate the steps they are taking in their life, and to slow down.
When you put it that way, it’s easy to see why we need a retrograde to pop up every once in a while, right?
But... when it’s a Mercury Retrograde, people can get quite nervous.
This is because Mercury has to do with the way that we think and communicate, making the “difficult” energy we’re presented with all something that we have to deal with on an individual level within our own minds.
That’s a lot of responsibility and something that some people would rather not face.
One thing that we do know is that the universe does not believe that ignorance is bliss!
Simply put, every dog has its day. The things that you need to work on will eventually be presented, especially when it’s a Mercury Retrograde in Cancer. The emotions refuse to hide.
When Mercury Retrograde in Cancer squares with Mars in Aries on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, this could create the pinnacle of miscommunications.
Everyone will be speaking from their emotions rather than their logic.
Do you want the good news or the bad news first?
The good news is that you’ll clearly know how the people around you truly feel.
The bad news is that they’re not going to sugarcoat anything.
During these few days where this transit takes place, tempers could flare up and arguments are more likely to erupt with those around us.
With the initiative Mars behavior in fiesty Aries, more people are prone to rash behavior because they will act first and think later.
If you know someone that’s been repressing a lot, you might witness them pick a fight just for the sake of finally letting it all out.
It’s easier than before to misread others, which is why it’s imperative that you recall back on the universal lessons we just learned in Gemini season: be curious, not defensive.
Taking an inquisitive approach can save everyone the headache or brawls that are likely to happen with this aggressive influence.
Try to laugh/cry/hug it out rather than fight it out.

Chiron Retrograde
On Saturday, July 11, 2020, Chiron (the wounded healer) will be Retrograde in Aries until December.
One of my favorite quotes is “the wound is the place where the light comes in” by Rumi. This rings so true when it comes to Chiron!
If you don’t know the story of the wounded healer, I’ll give you a quick brief.
Imagine having an ailment and being so embarrassed by it, experiencing it holding you back, and just imagining what life would be if you didn’t have this “shortcoming.”
Imagine dedicating your life to trying to fix that ailment.
You would probably be an expert in that area of healing, correct?
So much so that other people now turn to you when they have similar problems because you have the personal experience of trying to heal yourself.
This is the archetype of Chiron. So when it’s retrograding, we have to ask:
What wounds do you have that need to be tended to so that these can become resources in your life rather than curses?
Remember to be gentle with yourself. This is a time where you’ll be reminded of things about yourself that you most likely have tried to over look or to forget altogether.
It’s not easy, but realize this… if you can take this moment to be reflective you’ll come out so much stronger!
This retrograde can be especially difficult on the cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn because Chiron is making tough angles to these signs.
It’s easy to confuse which direction you are headed when you have cardinal energy.
This retrograde will illuminate the internal angst of which way you should go. It’ll be clear to see if you’ve been “dealing” or truly healing all along.
