IT'S ECLIPSE SEASON...

Sometimes, asking how you’ve been just doesn’t seem to do justice considering the major shifts that we’ve all been experiencing.

Rather than asking that rather mundane question, I want to ask how have you been doing with grounding during this gusty astrological season?

When the sun is in an air sign, we all have to be careful not to be spun around and turned upside down by unpredictable windy energy.

This is especially true for chatty Gemini season, where to really stay grounded you have to keep your ear to the ground, not just your feet.

The season of the talkative twins reveals a lot of information. Most times Geminis get labeled as “busy” and we don’t tend to give them their credit for actually being investigative.

Yes, they love to talk, but they are also intensely intellectual and love facts.

So, in this season, you can expect the truth to be blatantly shown to all of us.

If that isn’t reflective of the collective energy and the shifts that we’ve experienced with Venus this past week, then I don’t know what is.

*deep breath in and out….*

Again, the energy doesn’t really lighten up this week, either.

However, it does shift to reveal more of what we all have to see.

Remember, Pluto kicked into retrograde on April 25th and it’s planning to stay there until October this year.

So, even when we feel like we may have seen it all….there’s still more to reveal.

Also, keep in mind that Pluto offers us so many wonderful opportunities for change. It’s just the initiation into those changes that can be a bit turbulent.

To navigate the energy being presented in June, we’re going to take a look at the Eclipses that are taking place and how to prepare for the retrogrades later this month.

So take a deep breath and try to adopt Gemini’s mutable, ever-shifting approach to life.

Yes, major transitions are happening on a micro and macro level, but remember this one thing always: you chose to be here in this intense yet transformative time.

Eclipse Season Stirs About...

Just last Friday, we experienced the Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. You may or may not know that Eclipses usually come in a series of two or three Eclipses, so naturally, we are gearing up for the Solar Eclipse in Cancer at the end of this upcoming week.

The Sun enters the zodiac sign of Cancer during the Northern Hemisphere's Summer Solstice at the end of next week. And the Moon will begin this solar season in the zodiac sign of Gemini.

What does this really mean for you?

The Sun in Cancer relates to what motivates you to build foundations in life, especially how you feel about your home.

This summer in the northern hemisphere (and winter in the southern hemisphere) you’ll probably feel motivated to connect with people on an emotional level, which will be refreshing following the end of Venus Retrograde on June 25th.

Remaining grounded when the Sun is in a water sign can be challenging, but it’s a bit easier when Cancer is involved.

You crave stability because you want to protect those that you love and care for by being able to provide for them.

This is actually the perfect cosmic recipe for the retrogrades that are afoot.

Mars Conjunct Neptune

Mars conjuncts Neptune during this week. Mars is the ruler of aggression and warrior-like energy, which we’ve seen a lot of in these past weeks. While Mars is more of an initiator, Neptune offers much more passive energy encouraging compassion and the idea of oneness.

As I had mentioned last week, this can be confusing for the heart and mind versus the body. The energy body is influenced by Mars and feels the cardinal nature to initiate and do something but Neptune doesn’t provide any clear solutions.

Again, it’s a frustrating feeling to have the gumption and motivation to do something, but you don’t know what to do….

With this uncertain, yet restless momentum, it’s important to center yourself.

Illusions are swirling and the only way to know what’s right for you is to get into alignment with what you feel is right. I highly encourage everyone to meditate before taking any actions that could lead to long-term consequences!

And... There Are a Few More Retrogrades...

Retrogrades are just as necessary as any other cosmic energy that we experience. Many people tend to moan and groan when these come about, but honestly, they should be celebrated.

One thing that we must all learn to accept about change is that it doesn’t happen overnight. Change happens over time and there are usually brief relapses when we’re trying to implement long-term changes.

For instance, if you were to go on a diet, you’re more likely to fail going completely cold turkey in an attempt to give up all of your bad habits.

Essentially, retrogrades test the new boundaries that we set in our lives, the new standards that we try to hold ourselves to.

Are they realistic?

Are they for my highest good?

Maybe you’re going about change in the wrong way…

Retrogrades bring up challenges that are related to the energy of the planet that is experiencing the reversed cosmic cycle.

So, a retrograde that we should deeply understand is the one we are experiencing now: Pluto Retrograde until October 2020.

Pluto represents transformation overall, so anything that needs to be changed will be highlighted and challenged.

This forces us to revisit these things and ideas in our lives that need to be purged for us to evolve on the deepest level.

The retrogrades that are coming in June include both Mercury and Neptune.

Mercury retrogrades encourage us to reevaluate the way that we think and communicate while Neptune retrogrades will strip off your rose-colored glasses and reveal illusions to you.

Eclipses and the Changing Tides of 2020

The Eclipses will be on the Sagittarius/Gemini axis, which will have these zodiac signs at the mercy of massive changes over the next two years or so, as well as the signs of Virgo and Pisces or anyone with planets in those signs. This Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius begs you to start questioning your beliefs and ideas – where have they come from, and are they right for you? And so begins a two-to-three year process of holding those beliefs to the light and taking them apart, one by one. Some of us may expand our horizons by leaving a lot behind and heading for the hills, while some of us may commit to a course of study or learning. Foreign cultures will be important at this time and reaching out to others globally will keep us all connected. Sagittarius and Gemini can be the definition of woke, and woke is what we wanna aim for. Whatever changes we make, we have to go slow, as confusing Neptune goes Retrograde and throws more than a few spanners in the works, and a Retrograde Mercury muddies our thinking and turns rationality into, well, irrationality. It’s an imaginative month for sure, so if we can turn our minds and energies to creative projects, we can come off the better as well as sort out some of our emotional confusion.
